What happened to Melinda at a summer party was tragic. Not only did her so-called friend Rachel think she was lying about being raped and only called the police to ask for help, but she and the other students made her feel as if she was a horrible person.
I understood her feelings. She wasn't being a tattle-tale, she was only wanting help for what's called sexual assault. High school students can be totally cruel!

When I read the part about the 10 lies they tell you in high school, I totally related to this one...

"These are the years that you will look back on fondly."

HA!

As far as I'm concerned, high school was the place I waited years to leave!!!
